Quick start for school admins
Set up classes, invite your staff, and read the whole school at a glance.
As a school admin you see every class in your school at once, and you decide who belongs in each one.
What you can do
| Place | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Overview | The health of the whole school this week: check-ins, finished assignments and open flags |
| Classes | Every class you belong to, with how many members each has |
| Class Management | Members, invitations and roles for the class you have selected |
Getting your school set up
- Pick a class
Open Classes and select the class you want to set up. Elysian switches to it.
- Invite the teacher
In Class Management, invite the class teacher by email with the teacher role.
- Invite the students
Invite each student by email with the student role. They get an email and join the class when they create their account.
- Watch the overview
Once check-ins start, the Overview shows how many students checked in this week, how many assignments came back, and which classes need attention.
The overview is built from totals. Admins see how classes are doing, not individual students' notes or written answers. Those stay with the student and their teacher.
Reading the overview
The school health score combines how many students checked in this week, how pleasant those check-ins were, how many assignments came back, and how many high severity flags are still open. Each class also gets its own health score, built from its check-ins and its open high severity flags, so you can rank classes and see where to start. More about the overview.
