Asking to talk
A quiet way to ask your teacher for a conversation, without having to explain why.
Sometimes it is easier to ask for a conversation than to start one. Elysian lets you tell your teacher you would like to talk, quietly, without having to explain why.
How to ask
- Open Today
At the bottom of the side column, choose Want to talk to someone?
- Say when
Pick Today, if possible, This week, or Whenever suits them.
- Add a reason, only if you want to
There is space for a word or two. You can leave it empty. You do not need a reason.
- Ask to talk
Your teacher gets your request straight away. Today then shows Your teacher knows.
What happens next
Your teacher will find a quiet moment to talk with you. If it is better handled by your school counselor, they can pass it on. You can have one request open at a time, and you can cancel it with Cancel request until your teacher has dealt with it.
Only staff can see that you asked, and anything you wrote with it. Nobody in your class is told.
Do not wait for a reply in the app. Tell an adult near you straight away, or contact emergency services.
