Answering assignments

Short questionnaires from your teacher, one question at a time, saved as you go.

Assignments are short questionnaires from your teacher, usually a few minutes each. There are no wrong answers. They are a way for your teacher to hear from everyone, including people who do not say much in class.

Finding them

When your teacher sends an assignment, you get an email and it appears in Assignments and under Due soon on Today, with its deadline. The list tells you how much is waiting, and anything you have started shows Pick up where you left off.

Answering

  1. Open the assignment

Each one opens in a calm, full screen view with one question at a time.

  2. Answer each question

Multiple choice questions say Pick one or Pick as many as you like. Written questions give you space for up to 1,500 characters.

  3. Save and exit any time

Your progress is saved. Come back later and carry on from the same question.

  4. Submit

You get +20 XP, or +15 XP if it is after the deadline. Your teacher can read your answers straight away.

Who reads your answers

Only your teacher reads them. Written answers are also read by a safeguarding review, so that anything worrying reaches your teacher quickly. If something is on your mind, your school counselor is always there to talk.

After you submit

Finished assignments move to the Finished list, where you can read your answers again. You cannot change them once they are handed in, but you can always talk to your teacher.

Late and changed assignments

  • Late is still better than never. You can hand in after the deadline. It earns a little less XP.
  • If your teacher edits an assignment while you are answering it, Elysian asks you to refresh so you see the latest version.
  • If your teacher removes one, it disappears from your list.
