Mood
The whole week at once: the mood river, difficult stretches and the student by day grid.
Mood shows the whole week at once. Where Today is a snapshot, Mood is for seeing the shape of the week and the students inside it.
What is on the page
- The mood river. A stream of the class's moods across the last seven days. Its width is how many students felt each way, and warm currents are the ones to watch.
- Difficult stretch. Students who have had three heavy check-ins in a row, or five in one week. A quiet word, or your school's wellbeing steps, may help.
- The hardest day. Once a few days have check-ins, the toughest day of the week shows up.
- Student by day. A grid of every student by every day, coloured by mood. Sort it so the students who need you rise to the top, or by name. Select a row to see that student's week.
- Could use a nudge. Students who have not checked in at all this week.
Mood shows which mood each student chose. Notes students add to check-ins are private and never appear here.
Heavy check-ins
Elysian treats Frustrated, Anxious and Down as heavy, the orange side of the mood scale. One heavy day means very little on its own. Elysian only points to a student when heavy days repeat.
Sending a nudge
Choose Nudge next to a student who has gone quiet. They get a short, friendly email from you reminding them to check in. You can nudge each student once every 24 hours. A private nudge usually lands better than a reminder in front of the class.
