Questions

Short answers to the things people ask most.

Is Elysian a diagnosis tool?

No. Elysian gets early signals to the right adult. It never diagnoses, predicts or treats anything, and a person always decides what happens next.

Can teachers read students' check-in notes?

No. Teachers see which mood a student chose. Notes are only ever shown to the student who wrote them. See who sees what.

Does the leaderboard reward being happy?

No, it rewards effort: checking in, handing in assignments and keeping a streak. The weekly board adds a small bonus for pleasant check-ins, but most points come from showing up.

What if a student checks in late at night?

A check-in counts for the day it is made, in the student's own time zone. Each student can check in once a day.

What if a student scans the class QR code after checking in?

They see that they have already checked in today and are already on the board. It is still one check-in a day, so it cannot be changed or doubled.

How does a student ask for help without writing anything?

From Today, with Want to talk to someone? They only choose when. A reason is optional. See asking to talk.

Can a student hand in an assignment after the deadline?

Yes. Late is better than never. It earns a little less XP, and the teacher can see it came in late.

Can a teacher change an assignment after sending it?

Yes. Students who have not answered yet see the new version. Answers already handed in stay as they were.

Someone signed up but sees no class. Why?

Their account exists but is not in a class yet. A school admin needs to invite them to the right class. See joining your class.

A flag looks wrong. What should I do?

Read the full answer in Responses, use your judgement, and mark it as reviewed with Read it, no action needed if it is fine. Flags are a prompt to look, not a verdict.

Who do I contact for help?

Talk to your school admin first. They can reach the Elysian team.
