Who sees what
Exactly where a student’s check-ins, notes and answers go, and where they never go.
Students are more honest when they know exactly where their answers go. This is the whole picture.
| What | The student | Their teacher | School admin |
|---|---|---|---|
| The mood they chose each day | Yes | Yes | Only as class and school totals |
| A note added to a check-in | Yes | Never | Never |
| Answers to assignments | Yes | Yes | Never |
| That an exercise was done, and which | Yes | Yes | Never |
| What was written in an exercise | Yes | Never | Never |
| Their mood journal and insights | Yes | Never | Never |
| Other students' data | Never | Their own classes only | Their own school only |
Written answers and the safeguarding review
Written answers to assignments are read by an AI safeguarding review as soon as they are handed in. If an answer looks concerning, it is flagged to the student's teacher with the exact words and a one-line reason, so a person can follow up. How flags work.
Check-in notes and exercise writing are not part of that review. They stay private to the student.
No student ever sees another student's moods, answers or notes. The class leaderboard shows names, points, streaks and badges. It never shows anyone's moods.
Review notes
When a teacher marks a flag as reviewed, they can leave a note such as Shared with the counselor. Those notes are visible to staff only.
